My Thermage Journey

Know beauty treatment called thermage? It's a a kind of new technology, non surgery prosedure, using radiofrequency device to increase collagen production under the skin. The result? firmer and tighter skin starting 2 month upward. But ... no pain ... no gain... and so with Thermage. So .. I went to Jakarta Skin Center, to try this new technology. dr Edwin Djuanda took five 'before' pictures of me, front, side, neck etc.... before he gave me some pain killer that surprised me, because I thought this treatment has no pain at all!! I was wrong. Event with the pain killer, I can still feel some pain in some area (not all ofcourse....). and if it comes to this pain area (the jaw's line and neck), evey minutes become a very looong minutes, ha ha ha . What Thermage do...., dr.Edwin use some device called ThermaTips to delivers a controlled amount of radio frequency energy. Each touch (total touches for my face were 450), will deliver heats to the collagen layer, while some cooling spray will protect before, while and after every touch were given. Its feel like electric pulse stinging all over my face. The 'stinging' treatment finish after 1 hour. Dr. Edwin took some after treatment pictures. and thats it! The day after, the miracle begin. Looking at the mirror, try to locate every lines that before became my aging sign. It's disapear! Even my deep smile line was gone and so my sagging cheeck!! I call dr Edwin, tell him about this experience. the good news is, Thermage came as a single treatment. so I don't have to repeat it few month after, but the result is forever. And according to the doctor, in the next 6 months the maximum result will shown. No pain ... no gain ... For me? it's worth it. So ... who will be next? .............read full story: dewi magazine May 2005 Issue
